Wow isn’t that a marketing term? Besides also being a restaurant with the same name.

It’s kinda appropriate because majority of the workforce in the US look forward to the weekend. Thanks God it’s Friday! To mark the beginning of the weekend. After 40-60 hours of work folks can relax and spend two days doing nothing or having fun with the families. Unfortunately we only get 52 weekends.

Which means we’re limited to about 104 days where we can plan out what we want to do. And guess what some weekends the weather isn’t right to go out and play with the kids. Other weekends we gotta go visit families and events. So now those 104 days get reduces down to an even smaller number.

Life is what we make it!

So what’s your plan for the weekend?

What are we going to do tonight Pinky?

If you haven’t heard of that phrase or watched a few episodes of the famous warner brothers tv show ‘Pinky and the Brain’ you’re totally missing out.

What’s really interesting about the show that stands out to me now more than ever is their relentless pursuit to take over the world.

In each episode Brain and Pinky two lab rats devise a plan that’ll help Brain run the world, their constant failures but then going at it again reminds me how many times we as humans need to persist and keep moving forward.

So today’s plan is to get back on the track to edit the backlogged episodes and keep moving forward.

I also learned a lot of new tips today that I didn’t k it in the beginning. And I think I can help others achieve their goals in building their personal brand as well as establish their authority.

The power of reminders

It’s been overt 10 days since the last blogpost and that goes to show that if you’re not thinking about something constantly it’s not going to become a habit overnight.

First of all it is not healthy to be thinking about the same thing over and over that’s why we have reminders and habits.

Secondly, habits form after you consistently do something for 60+ days and adding too many things at once to that habit will also deter you from forming that habit.

A study revealed why most people are not able to keep their New Years resolutions and that is because we add too many thing too many resolutions on ourselves to accomplish.

Take exercising for example, let’s say you work out twice a month and you resolve to do it twice a week, that resolution is already flawed from the get go, because you might be able to stick with it for say 1-2 months, but it’s going to be super hard. Because you’ve added 600% more exercises to your month than you initially managed.

The ideal way to get to 2/week exercise would be to start with 1/week and continue that for 3 months, then introduce 2/week and keep that up for 3 months and gradually get good at keeping up.

So yes reminders are necessary, it can be a person reminding you to do your thing or an app. I remembered that I hadn’t written in 10 days so I thought to myself that I can simply set a reminder on my phone which is with me all waking hours of the day.

So now the reminders app will remind me everyday in the morning to write a blogpost. Hopefully this can help me form this essential habit.

When I restarted blogging I simply depending on my brain to remind me and we can’t do that all the time.

Off loading a simple task such as reminders to an app keeps your mind clear and focus on working more efficiently.

Yea it’s not a massive revelation but it’s good to come to some conclusions without jumping on a mat.

How to be consistent

It’s so hard to be consistent, but I’m getting a hang of it, atleast I like to think so.

I think the idea is to take the time away from your day and decide to be consistent in doing the one thing that is boring and relentlessly write and get the word down on the paper.

The difference between 200 crappy words than 500 -3000 golden words is that it is super hard to do consistently.

The idea behind bringing consistent content every day is to make sure that you keep doing this and writing daily.

Putting together a plan

Everyone needs a plan, either this plan is hashed out on the way to the result or you need to sit down and think through the plans you have in mind.

I’ve had the honor to connect with hundreds of professionals in the last year, I’ve learned a lot from their stories and success as well as their failures.

Constantly improving my flow as well as the automation to ease up the things that require repetitive tasks.

So my plan is simple. Get it done, market and show value through marketing and sharing stories of what I gained from the experience.
